What Are Some Of The Benefits Of An Eye Lift?

  • A fresher, happier, rejuvenated look to the face
  • Oftentimes, a friendlier appearance
  • Sometimes, improved eyesight
  • Less overall wrinkles around the eyes
  • A better self-perception in the mirror

First of all, you could look amazing! It’s simple, sometimes life and circumstance can take hold as time passes. Then, all of a sudden there’s a realization that you have that you either look older than you feel- or are projecting a look on your face that belies your true feelings.

After all, no one wants to be perceived as tired, angry, or even sad, which is what is often reported to us. Could a successful eyelift enliven your face? Your countenance? Yes, it’s certainly possible. Might this procedure make you feel more able and purposeful? Maybe even free up your peripheral vision? Absolutely. These are all things to discuss with Dr. Gardenier at your initial consultation. He’ll help you let your eyes fully shine, as they should.

Candidacy; Do I Qualify For Eyelid Surgery?

There are no rules as to when you can get an eyelid lift—especially if it’s in pursuit of a better-functioning eye. That said, most patients are usually older than 30 years old.

In general, older age groups may be more prone to seek information regarding a male eyelid lift. This is usually due to the eyelid skin laxity interfering with the peripheral vision of the patient, or it presents a look that the individual does not want to project. Still, some men inquire about an eye lift purely for aesthetic reasons. These patients are usually older than 30 and feel that this procedure could serve their looks well. Usually, they would be correct.

What Sort Of Recovery Process Might I Expect?

Your eyelids could be bruised and a bit swollen for 1 to 3 weeks after your surgery. As the surgery settles in, the appearance of your eyes could continue to improve over the next 1 to 3 months.

At about 10 to 14 days, most men feel ready to go back to work and continue with their social engagements. However, this can depend on your type of work and how you feel about people knowing you’ve just had surgery.
