Creating a harmonious, pleasing facial aesthetic that will rejuvenate your upper facial aesthetic. A forehead lift or “brow lift” is a procedure that restores a more youthful, refreshed look to the area above the eyes. The procedure corrects drooping brows and improves the horizontal lines and furrows that can make a person appear angry, sad or tired.

Brow lifts can be performed alone, or are frequently performed in conjunction with other procedures such as a facelift or eyelid surgery. The brow lift corrects the deep horizontal lines in the forehead and raises the brows back to a more youthful position when they fall below the orbital rim (eye socket).

This procedure can be performed through an incision running over the top of the head or with very limited incisions during an upper lid lift in an endoscopic fashion (using a small camera).

Advantages of a Brow Lift:

  • Can create a friendlier, more inviting facial expression
  • Can reduce creases, folds, furrows and wrinkles
  • Can create a brighter, more elevated eye brow line
  • Treatment can be highly customized to your needs
  • Can improve self-confidence and self-image
  • Can help make a more favorable first impression
  • Long-lasting, permanent results
  • Can help improve vision

Clients who experience any of the following may be excellent candidates for the treatment:

  • Eyebrows that are drooping below the eye socket’s rim

  • Eyebrows are too close to the eyelids
  • The forehead is wrinkled and scrunched
  • You appear more tired and aged than you actually are

There are several types of brow lifts that Dr. Weisberg and Dr. Daniel can perform. They will choose the best approach based on your needs and goals, as discussed during your confidential consultation in Portland, Maine.

Endoscopic Brow Lift: In this case scarring is very minimal, as incisions are neatly hidden in the scalp. The surgeon uses a tiny tubular camera (endoscope) to help guide his approach.

Short Scar Brow Lift: This is among the most common and popular techniques. Incisions are nicely camouflaged within the hairline. The hairline is slightly lowered, which can be an additional advantage for some.

Coronal Brow Lift: Here, an incision is made extending from one side of the scalp to the other. This method is usually chosen when significant lifting is required for a deeply sagging brow.

Temple Lift: This lift can be effective in elevating the outer corners of the eyes, improving eye hooding. Results are elegant and refreshing. It is also excellent for reducing crow’s feet.
