Dr. Gardenier is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon, scientist, researcher, and artist. He completed his training in general surgery at New York City’s top hospital, New York Presbyterian Hospital—Weill Cornell. While in NYC, he was drawn to plastic and reconstructive surgery, which led him to complete a plastic surgery research fellowship at the world-renowned Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. His work in this laboratory was funded by multiple grants from the Plastic Surgery Foundation and was published in leading scientific journals, leading to patented treatment breakthroughs for cancer survivors. His passion for plastic surgical reconstruction also led him to complete a fellowship in the care and reconstruction of severely burned patients at New York City’s busiest Burn Center, also at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, Cornell.

He then went to train at the elite Harvard Plastic Surgery Residency Program at Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, MA. It was here that Dr. Gardenier gained world-class expertise in all aspects of plastic surgery, including all aspects of aesthetic surgery of the face, breasts, and body, as well as nonsurgical rejuvenation from many of the leading masters of plastic surgery.

Dr. Gardenier provides comprehensive treatment in aesthetic procedures including facelifts, rhinoplasties, breast augmentations, breast lifts, breast reductions, abdominoplasties, and body contouring. He also has expertise in reconstructive procedures for patients who need it after cancer or trauma. He understands that an outstanding outcome must come from a place of trust and confidence, and that every patient has different and individual needs. He understands the power of these procedures to help a person’s confidence and self-image.

Dr. Gardenier is driven to achieve outstanding results, using the latest techniques from experts around the world, whom he has visited to learn from first-hand. His research and innovations have been shared at many scientific conferences and he has over 25 publications in leading peer-reviewed scientific journals as well as multiple textbook chapters.

Dr. Gardenier grew up in the Washington, DC suburbs, but has roots in Portland, Maine, where his father was born and raised. He grew up visiting Maine frequently and loves traveling across New England, with its incredible mountains, lakes, forests, beaches, and islands.
