Dr. Hazboun is a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon with dual training in General Surgery and Aesthetic Surgery.
A Foundation Built on Rigorous Training
Dr. Hazboun’s path to plastic surgery was shaped by years of broad surgical experience. He completed his general surgery training across three prestigious programs—the University of Arizona, Loma Linda University, and Southern Illinois University—forming a firm foundation in complex surgical decision-making before specializing in plastic and reconstructive surgery.
Earlier in his training, Dr. Hazboun served as a Research Fellow at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, where he worked within the Orthopedic and Hand Surgery department. That defining experience sparked his interest in the intersection of function and form that defines reconstructive surgery.
His research contributions span both reconstructive and aesthetic plastic surgery, with publications in peer-reviewed journals such as Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Global Open and The Journal of Orthoplastic Surgery, among others.
Dr. Hazboun has presented his research at national and international meetings, including The Aesthetic Meeting and the Texas Society of Plastic Surgeons, and was honored with the Jaime A. Garza Research Award from the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio in 2023.
